We continue to improve and grow. This past off-season, we have undertaken our biggest improvements ever. Come check out what we've done.

• New snowmaking pond. The addition of our 10 million gallon snowmaking pond will more than double our snowmaking capacity and efficiency for the 09/10 season.

• The Nordic Wake Park. Why just use our pond in the winter? This June we unveiled the first cable wakeboarding system in the Midwest. CLICK HERE to visit our wake park page.

• Two new trails. We will have a new winding woods run, Nordy's Narrows, located between Lightning and Dynamite. This new black run will provide a new thrill for intermediate and advanced skiers. Our other run, Poma Pass, will be a short green run down our former Poma Lift path. This run provides multiple paths through the woods for beginners.

• New beginner area and lift. We are adding yet another handletow and quadrupling the size of Nordy's Playground beginner area. The new lift will be on the former lower half of Nitro and provide a very large and much needed expansion for first timers and very beginners.

• Nitro Path. Nitro, one of our best blue runs, now has a new bottom half that cuts through the woods and allows access to both our double and triple chairs from the run, making it much more accessible to skiers and boarders.

• Variable speed chairlifts. We've completely rewired both our triple and double chairs. Adjusting speeds on our chairs has never been easier. An added benefit is that both of our chairlifts will now use far less energy.

• We will again have our learn to ski and learn to board packages that include lift, rental, and a half day lesson at a greatly discounted price. Click here to check out our packages.

With all of these changes taking place, we are still among the most affordable ski hills in Wisconsin, and even the entire Midwest. Nordic Mountain is committed to providing you with the best product possible. This commitment is apparent in our continued investment in the hill in the past 4 years.

We believe skiing should be a sport that everyone can enjoy and afford. We have always been a great family hill, and we feel the changes we are making will help excite all members of the family.
