Life at Nordic Mountain

Nordic Mountain Summer Activities

This Mountain Never Rests!

A lot of people still think of Nordic Mountain as a snow-sports place. It’s certainly that, but there’s plenty going on here year-round to keep sports enthusiasts happy. If you’re a mountain biker, water sports lover, or someone who wants to try something new, come on over anytime—there’s lots of fun to go around.

Mountain Biking
WORS Subaru Race at Nordic Mountain

Nordic Mountain has mountain bike trails covering almost every inch of our 104 acres. From a world-class cross-country course to numerous downhill and free-ride lines, we are quickly becoming a prime mountain-biking destination. The best part is, the trails are always open and FREE to ride!

For the past 3 years, Nordic Mountain has hosted the Subaru Cup Pro XCT, an Olympic-level biking competition. This course is technical and very challenging, but anyone up for the challenge is welcome to ride the very same track that Olympic level riders have competed on.

“I don’t know what it is about Wisconsin,” said two-time Subaru Cup Champion Georgia Gould of the 2008 US Olympic Mountain Bike team.  “It was the best crowd-- on the climbs, on the downhills -- everywhere.  It’s such a pleasure to race in front of people who are into it.  And I’ll tell you what, the whole [Nordic Mountain] course is World Cup caliber.  I think this might be my favorite course anywhere.”

Wake Park

The Nordic Wake Park is a cable watersports park powered by a Sesitec System 2.0. It’s only the 7th system of its kind installed nationwide, and the FIRST in the Midwest. Being pulled by an overhead cable system is a completely new and really fun sensation for Midwest riders of all ages. We offer lessons for beginners, equipment rentals, and experienced supervision, so, whether an expert or a novice, come on out and experience the waterpark thrills you’ll find only at Nordic Mountain.
