Meet Our Instructors!

I grew up learning how to ski in ski school and I fell in love with the sport right away. In my free time I enjoy swimming, running and baking. I love spending time outdoors and working with kids. Me and my family have taken ski trips to Colorado and I've been to keystone and Breckenridge. Ever since I was a kid I loved the sport and I want to be able to share that with others.

Nordic Mountain was the hill that introduced me to boarding as a kid. From there snowboarding has taken me all over the country. I’ve spent time competing in USASA & local events. I have been teaching throughout my whole snowboarding career at different locations & terrains. I believe anyone can learn to ride and there’s nothing more rewarding than getting another individual passionate about snowboarding.

After a trip out west in December 2022 reignited my passion for skiing I reached out to Nordic Mountain about the possibility of teaching on weekends. I love sharing my passion for skiing with skiers of all ages and abilities. Beyond skiing, I am an avid golfer, a Mario Kart enthusiast, an NFL owner (Packers stockholder), and have a less fun day job in the finance industry.

I love to snowboard. I reside in the Weyauwega area. I love being in the outdoors or on the snow. My other hobbies are racing dirt bikes or playing basketball. I would love to introduce you to the world of snow sports!

I am an enthusiastic promoter of snow sports, from the first-timer to the life-timer. With 20 years of teaching experience, at three different snow schools, I’ve worked extensively with children and adults, helping them achieve growth in their skiing while having fun. In my fourth year at Nordic, I’m looking forward to the continuous learning and exploration on the hill, with my family.

In my past i snowboarded in Big Sky Montana. I had a very welcoming interaction with an instructor that showed me the importance of making snowboarding a fun experience for new riders. And now i want to apply that by instructing others to make their experience as welcoming as mine was.

I'm a teacher in Appleton by day, and super ski instructor by night! Nordic has alwasy been my home hill. I'm passionate about taking you to the next level in your skiing, whether that's a first run down the beginner hill, or hockey stops and carving. In my free time, I like to cook foods from around the world, and travel to fun places. Hope to see you soon!

I spend almost all of my time either on my snowboard or at camps with my middle school kids or serving for camps. I grew up on mountains across the county, ever since I started snowboarding, five years ago, I fell in love with it and the community surrounding snow sports. I also play softball for my high school and volunteer at my church every week, and I also love to share my passions with others!

Besides skiing I am really in to anime, tabletop games, and role-playing. Some of anime I watch are One Piece, Bleach, My Hero Academia, Shangri La, and Nana. As for tabletop games that i enjoy are commmander (mtg), DND 3.5 and 5.0, and a variety of board games. In the summer I participat in belegarth (a full contact larp). I Hope to see you out on the hill this season!!

I'm a Junior at Green Lake High School, and I am very active—whether it’s snowboarding, fishing, or biking, I’m always on the move. I’m on the basketball and baseball teams at my school, and I’m super focused on getting better every day. I'm excited about this season and look forward to introducing newcomers to the park.

I’m 15 and like sports and am in science club. I really love learning new things which is why I learned how to snowboard and ski. But also because I love meeting new people. There’s so many things we can learn at Nordic not just about snow sports but skills for off the hill too.

Brimming with 28 years instructing alpine ski and snowboarding, it is always a joy to share the excitement and adventure of snow sports. Also instructs terrain park, telemark, adaptive, and professionally goofing around.

I live in Waupaca. I have spent my whole life living 15 minutes away from Nordic and the environment while snowboarding never gets old. I am very outgoing so I have played many different sports. I love to inspire people and hopefully I can inspire everyone that I teach.

Before becoming an instructor, I worked in the terrain parks. In my free time I enjoy playing and watching football, golfing with my friends, working on cars like BMWs. I also love animals and hanging out with friends and family.

Passionate about sharing the thrill of snowsports! With 25+ years of snowboarding teaching experience across Wisconsin and Minnesota, I'm dedicated to providing a safe and fun learning experience. Whether you're a kid or a kid at heart (like me), I'll guide you through your first steps on the slopes.

I enjoy being outside as much as possible. My summers are spent either kayaking on boating on the Waupaca Chain of Lakes or the Wisconsin River. Winters are for finding joy on the slopes at Nordic!

I’m a massive history buff! I also love just about anything D&D or board game related. As soon as summer hits you can find me out kayaking in rivers and lakes.

I love teaching groups with people of various degrees of snowboarding skills. I grew up in Berlin and Nordic was essentially my daycare. In my free time you can find me learning a language, playing video games, skateboarding, listening to music and taking photos and videos.

I have experience instructing children in a variety of sports including baseball, football, and basketball. Working with children is one of my strengths. I can’t wait to get out and teach this year. My goal is to be able to ski better in the park.

I love to play baseball, and basketball. At home I like to play video games. In school, my favorite subject is math.

I fell in love with snowboarding when I lived in Colorado. My favorite place to ride when I lived there was keystone. I love many sports like football, baseball, and of course snowboarding! I shred the whole hill but I particularly like jumps!

Teaching skiing allows me to help others master the skills of finding trust and building confidence. I take joy in inspiring my students on the ski hill, guiding them through their own paths towards success, and seeing their smiles light up after a great run. When I'm not on the slopes, you'll often find me on a run or enjoying a long outdoor walk.

I share my passion for skiing with my 12 year old! We try to get out on the slopes as often as possible. Off the hill, my family and I love traveling and exploring new destinations. I live just 10 minutes from Nordic, and skiing has been a passion of mine since I was young. From the first time I hit the slopes, I was hooked—not only by the rush of the sport but also by the joy of sharing that excitement with others. When I’m off the mountain, you’ll likely find me chasing summer adventures, whether it’s surfing, wakeboarding, or playing volleyball. I’m also passionate about traveling.

I’m a local teacher with a passion for working with young students! Having grown up skiing at Nordic, I have extensive knowledge and practical experience in teaching skiing to all ages. I enjoy engaging students in games that promote learning. In the off-season I enjoy riding horses and bird watching!

I grew up in North Texas, until I moved up to Wisconsin a few year back which stared my interest in snowboarding. Outside of snowboarding and skiing I enjoy running, playing sports, and spending time with friends.

I grew up here in Wautoma just 20 minutes from Nordic Mountain. Outside of instructing I enjoy being outdoors, swimming, and traveling. Having such a deep love for snowboarding has brought me many new friends and amazing experiences!

I learned how to ski in Utah from my older brothers. I fell in love with skiing and ski resort work. I taught new coworkers friends and family members how to ski and mountain bike.I have always loved seeing people grow, learn, and progress in a fun and safe learning environment. looking forward to teaching skiing this winter.

One of my dreams has always been to be a ski instructor, sharing my passion for the slopes and soaking up every moment on the hill. When I’m not carving up the snow, I’m soaring through the skies as a general aviation pilot—a pursuit that fuels my sense of adventure and even sharpens my skills as an instructor. Beyond skiing and flying, I love exploring new destinations, walking my dogs, and creating unforgettable memories with my family.

I am heading into my 5th year as Snow Sports Director at Nordic Mountain. Previously I have worked at a summer camp as a ropes course facilitator at Camp Phillip! Lately I have been training to be able to ride in the park!

In my free time, I enjoy anything that involves aviation and airplanes. A goal of mine for this season is to be able to build my skills as both a rider, instructor, and to visit a new ski hill!

Hi, I’m Layla! Apart from skiing, In my free time I enjoy hanging out with my family and pets! I also spent most of my summer out on lake Winnebago, sailing or kayaking. In the winter I love to cross country ski, and ice skate!

Skiing and snowboarding has been one of my passions for a long time. Outside of skiing, I am still heavily involved in 4H, helping youth learn their passion in livestock and photography. I also enjoy traveling, hiking, and watching the large ships of the great lakes region, as well as learning about old shipwrecks.

I am from Neenah Wi, and have been skiing and snowboarding since I was young- I started at Nordic through the Boys and Girls Brigade. I love being outdoors and in nature; which is why I have a degree in wildland fire science. As well as, the past 2 summers I’ve spent my time on Washington Island Wi as a kayak guide. I have been bitten by the travel bug and I will always be down for an adventure. I have a passion for people- I appreciate every opportunity teaching and volunteering has given me and I am excited for the season ahead!

Having been born and raised in Puerto Rico, I am bilingual! Now I live in Weyauwega, WI. I learned to ski in Washington State and have also also spent time learning in Canada and Oregon. I have been working as a behavior therapist for more than 10 years with children with autism and other special needs.

Hello there! I am Max from Oshkosh and I love sharing my passion of knowledge and fun experiences that skiing being to our members lives. When the snow is missing from the hill, you can find me either hiking, motorcycling, or spending time with my dog enjoying the great outdoors.

I am a lifelong outdoor enthusiast. Recently, I retired from a 30+ year career as a middle school science teacher. My other interests include travel, hiking, backpacking and hunting. I am eager to share my skills with you!

If you ever see the snow scooter out on the hill it’s probably me. I’m based out of Neenah and like to spent my summers water skiing. The terrain park is my favorite part of Nordic.

I grew up only 5 minutes from Nordic! Being so close has built my love for this sport. In my free time I like to play volleyball and softball. I love being active, but skiing and snowboarding has always been my favorite.

I fell in love with skiing while in a family lesson here at Nordic ten years ago and have been skiing ever since. I drive up from Manitowoc which is a 90 mile drive to dedicate my weekends to something that I truly love. I enjoy tons of different outdoor activities like, hunting, fishing, camping, dirt biking, and playing soccer. I love all the opportunities that comes with teaching here I enjoy having the ability to teach people of all ages and being able to share something with someone that has brought me so much joy.

Outside of skiing, I enjoy camping, Mountain biking and volunteering at The Boys and Girls Brigade. Last year, I had bad luck and broke 2 pairs of skis at Nordic. This year, I hope to not break any!

I have been coming to Nordic for many years I manly ride the park I love hitting rails jumps when I’m not at Nordic I’m wake boarding on the wolf river or at work working on boats snowmobiles and ATVs.

I love to ski in the terrain park. My favorite part of the terrain park are the rails. Outside of skiing, I enjoy dirt biking and waterskiing.

I started teaching at Nordic in 2016, and fell in love with the community and space. Ski instructing has become my passion, and I specialize in children’s lessons ages 5+. I enjoy watching my students grow their skills on the snow and achieve their goals. Some of my other passions include kayaking, reading, and spending time with my dog. See you on the slopes!

In my free time I enjoy volunteering at various humane societies as well as helping at elementary schools. I also play lacrosse and tennis through my school. I spend the rest of my time with my 3 dogs, we love going for long hikes through the woods and runs around the neighborhood. I’m so excited to be teaching again this year.

When I am not skiing, I enjoy leading annual field trips with the Wisconsin Natural Resources Foundation, teaching whitewater kayaking, making maple syrup, hiking, and spending time on family woodlands in Northern Oconto County.

When I'm not snowboarding, I'm a full time college student in the Twin Cities in Minnesota studying Biology and Spanish. I pride myself in sports like football, basketball, wakeboarding, and wrestling. Although you may see me having a snowball fight here and there around the mountain, having fun while maintaining progression is always a priority.

I am really excited to be working here at Nordic as a snowboard instructor. I'm pumped to get on the snow and shred some slopes. I really enjoy talking about sports as a athlete myself. I play football, track, and I wrestle.

I could not be happier to return to Nordic this season. I have an extensive ski racing background and love teaching students who want to take their skiing to the next level. You can find me on the hill, at the lake, or in the woods on a long walk. Skiing is my passion and I would love sharing it with you.

I live on Washington Island in Door County. When the snow melts, you’ll find me on Lake Michigan running kayak tours, sailing, and hiking in the area. I started as ski patrol at Nordic Mountain, then joined the instructor family a few years ago. I look forward to seeing you on the hill!
